Victorian Gold Garnet Snake Brooch
A Victorian symbol of eternal love
Pre civil war brooch of entwined 18k+ snakes and a crown of 6 beautiful garnets.
The two serpents or snakes are coiled with forked tongues.
The snakes wind their way into a loving knot that is secured with a spring-ring clasp.
This is an extremely old brooch.
Patina noted throughout.
My jeweler replaced one missing garnet stone.
Jeweler has tested this with his Titan XRF gold analyzer and it is testing at 18k gold  .
Weight approx 6.5. Please note this is a
hollow
brooch.
Can add a jump ring to the small bale on the back and wear as a pendant.
